Alright, I'm guessing that the RP just got longer than we thought it would, and has started to become more complex. You know the rules; anything you want to say out of context should be posted here. I'd like it if everyone participating in the IC could go and copy/paste their Char profiles into this thread, along with using this one for any future questions/comments about posts, characters or plot. I'll have all my stuff as well as the NPC profiles up in just a second.

Here is the general information post for this thread. It will contain information regarding Realms, NPC's, and the Tasks. Please refer to this when you have questions.

First will be the description of the Council Realm:

You can think of the Council Realm within a management format. The realm oversees all others, and includes all known Pantheons (Greek/Roman, Norse, Shinto, Buddhist, Christian, Native American, Hindu, Fantasy, etc.) It even oversees realms in which magic is non-existant, although its relation to these realms is tenuous.

As for the structure of the Council Realm itself, it is divided into divisions based on qualities that are present in all the realms. You have Time, Death, Fate and War, with each focusing on its unique characteristics. There are also multiple other divisions: Gaia division, which contains most of the earthly qualities (Love, Seasons, etc.). Restoration, which specializes in healing, both people and realms. C & D, which stands for Creation & Destruction, basically serves as the R & D department for the Council, providing the equipment and tools used by most of the other divisions, as well as performing the duties required in the construction and resetting of a realm. We also have the Pestilence, Famine and Sorrow divisions, which specialize in the mundane woes which plague us. No one really likes them. There is also an important division based entirely around vision and information gathering skills, aptly named the Vision Division. In this section you will find people who specialize in such techniques as farsight, foresight, Finding, empathy, telepathy, and knowledge skills of all levels, including the much-vaunted Dead-man's Tongue (The ability to speak the collected knowledge of the dead). There are the Order and Chaos divisions, one setting laws and standards while the other seeks the means to disrupt them. Finally there is the Arcane division, specializing in the flow and schools of magic and natural abilities. They are very secretive, and will not tell you their learnings if you are unworthy. There is just one more division of great importance which we know about - The division of Luck, which is completely managed by the fickle mistress of the same name. Lady Luck can be kind or cruel, and if you ever see her then there is luck of some sort in your future.

There is one final division, larger than all the others but almost never spoken of. The division of Night is one of secrets and dreams, whispered prayers to loved ones and gasps of unhindered lust, a place of murder most foul and beauty unparalleled. Not even the All-Seer has absolute power over the sultry Shadow-Walker who rules this division, and attempting to converse with her is futile at best, fatal at worst.



Second, the NPC's/Characters under my control:

First, the char's I will be in charge of:

Name:The Thread Weaver. His given name was revealed to be Rickel (pronounced like 'nickel').
Spoiler:

Race: Human/Planar
Age: He was twenty, once.
Appearance: Black hair with silver tips, shoulder length, as well as silver eyes. He wears a cloak and hood over studded leather armor, with chainmail underneath that. Pouches line his waste, holding a multitude of objects, and scrolls line the inside of his cloak in small pockets. A silver chain around his neck leads down to his left pocket, where it is attached to a pocket watch.
Personality: Very work-oriented when 'on the clock', but somewhat lax the rest of the time. Always acts as though he knows more than he lets on. Likes to know the details of others, and holds his knowledge in high regard.
Weapons: Two daggers at his hips. The left dagger has a straight, normal blade. The scabbard has an egraving of a dog on it. The right dagger has a wave blade like a kris, and the scabbard has an engraving of a snake on it. The final weapon is a short sword on his back, with an engraving of a falcon on the scabbard. He can also make Spiritual Needles, which have not been explored. He also has an amulet, which he was told was named "Grand Design." It seems that Grand Design can transform into a number of weapons, but at a price.
Notes: By a circumstance of birth, Rickel serves directly under K, while at the same time he serves as the second under the Fate Division.

Name: K (or C, depending)
Spoiler:

Age: Unknown
Appearance: A man in a black tweed suit. He has a grey mustache, a brown cane with an ivory handle, and a bowler hat that neatly shaded his eyes so that the color can not be made out. He also wears a small pair of round spectacles, and a golden chain that leads from his front pocket to somewhere inside of his overcoat. His face is wrinkled slightly, enough to imply age but not so much as to indicate an excess. His smile is warm, grandfatherly in nature.
Personality: Kind and Grandfatherly, he is very patient. He always follows his orders, no matter what. He and the Reaper have a history...
Weapons: The cane and the watch are both used as tools. Other weapons may arise.
Notes: K is a member of the Council, and leader of the Time Division in the Council.

Name: All-Seer
Spoiler:

Age: Unknown
Personality: As seen in posts.
Appearance: Revealed on page 14 - It wears an ornate golden headdress that resembles a winged eye, with a long white veil draped from the outstreched wings so that the All-Seer's face is masked by the fabric. It is clothed in a similar white robe with a gold trim which conceals all bodily features. There is yet another crane stitched into the All-Seer's robe, just above the heart. The All-Seer also bears a folding fan.
Weapon: Unknown
Notes: The All-Seer is the title given to the one who holds the highest seat on the Council.

Name: War, or Ares, or whichever depiction you would like to refer to him as.
Spoiler:

Age: Unknown
Appearance: He appears as whatever is regarded as the greatest warrior by the mortals (There was one embarrasing occasion in which he turned into a Klingon, but this did not last long). Currently, he is a Japanese man with a rough beard and ragged black hair and slightly wild eyes. He wears a traditional outfit with a red and black star patten, complete with wooden sandles and two swords. In his hand usually holds a cup of sake, which he refills from a container around his neck.
Personality: Lazy and stubborn as a mule. A gambler, lecher and a drunk, he generally just sits around drinking sake. If you rile him up though you had best be prepared to fight for your life. Although War can use no magic spells (he can use natural abilities and skills that come with his station), his skills in combat are unmatched, and he could kill God himself.
Weapon: Anything and Everything. He's War, and anything that falls into his hands can be considered a lethal weapon.
Notes: War is the head of the Division of the same name within the Council Realm. He is also a member of the Council.

Name: Lachesis
Spoiler:

Age: Unknown
Appearance: middle-aged, and wears rather plain clothes befitting a secretary, or a business woman. She has ordinary glasses, and wears her auburn hair in a practical bun. The bun is held in place by a pair of sewing needles. She also wears a black band on her left arm.
Personality: Organized and bussiness-like at all times, she is logical to the point of being cold. She knows her priorities, and sticks to them. Don't touch her things or mess with her plans, or she will be peeved. When she talks, her sentences alternate and combine with Atropos', as though they were a single person.
Weapon: A measuring rod.
Notes: Lachesis is the 'Middle' of the Sisters of Fate as depicted in Greek mythology. The Norse equivilant is Verdandi. She is a member of the Council, and co-head of the Fate Division.

Name: Atropos
Spoiler:

Age: Unknown
Appearance: seems old enough to have been mummified at least twice, but wears a smile that says she has been everywhere and done everything, and had fun doing it too. She wears a gray robe that she has wrapped around herself, and a pair of -oddly enough- bunny slippers. She also wears a black band on her left arm.
Personality: Kind of an old bat who isn't afraid to speak her mind, she has wisdom beyond any other. A bit morbid sometimes, but she balances it out with an overall love of life. Don't try to sass her though, because she'll spank you up and down the realm. When she talks, her sentences alternate and combine with Lachesis', as though they were a single person.
Weapon: A large pair of fabric shears.
Notes: Atropos is the 'Eldest' Sister of Fate, as described in Greek mythology. Her Norse equivilent would be Skuld. She is a member of the Council, and co-head of the Fate Division.

Name: Skirmisher (Given name revealed as Syl, which is short for Syllaera)
Spoiler:

Age: Unknown
Appearance: She is actually rather short, about five feet and eight inches (under two meters), with a well-shaped, athletic figure. Or at least this is what can be inferred, as she is covered largely in armor. When her mouth was seen recently, one could see skin too dark to be pale, yet too fair to be tan - an attractive shade, combining/contrasting with almost-red lips. The armor itself is composed of a blood red metal (cliche, I know), with chainmail underneath. The helmet covers her face, with only small slits for the eyes.
Personality: Emotionally unstable and rather psychotic, her mood can change from happy-go-lucky to nymphomaniacal to militaristically official to bloodthirsty psychosis in about the time it took you to read this sentence. If you ever talk to her, don't expect a normal conversation. And if she's leading you on, she might have different things in mind... (As an NPC-class character, this should make her very easy for different people to RP given differing writing styles, while at the same time providing a challenge for the same reasons).
Weapon: A large battle axe, golden-bronze in color. The weapon is unbelievably heavy, and the blade is so notched from battle that you could use it as a saw. She has yet to actually use it in combat, for various reasons.
Notes: Her close-quarters combat is high grade, and all of her attacks contain an almost stupid amount of power. She can't use any spells at all, although her station allows her to use certain abilities as well as her natural ones (more on those later). She serves three levels under War in that Division, which means that there are three individuals with power greater than her before War. She is supposed to have a Scottish accent (I'm very sorry for butchering it in the IC). We have also noticed that Syl is burned by contact with water.

Name: Lady Luck
Spoiler:

Age: How rude of you to ask!
Personality: Very sophisticated and playful. She is always caught up in one of her games, or a test of luck. She is the least likely of all the Division leaders to intentionally do harm to anyone. You can still get hurt, but it won't be on purpose. It will just be on account of your bad luck. However, if you are mean to her there is a chance that the odds will be skewed. Just a bit.
Appearance: The Mistress of Fortunes wears a black and white backless evening gown, black on her right and white on her left. High heels keep her slightly off the ground, and a black cat is usually curled on her shoulders. In her right hand she holds a glass of ruby red wine. both hands are gloved, with the same color scheme as the dress.
The most remarkable feature is of course her face. Luck wears a mask similar to one you would see in a discussion of plays, one of those plain, completely featureless affairs which are smiling to represent comedy, or frowning to represent tragedy. The mask which covers Luck's features is a mix of the two, black and smiling on the right, white and frowning on the left. Even the woman's hair, which is shoulder-length and curled slightly, is a bizarre mix of raven black and snow white.
Weapons: None. Luck can warp reality, but only as chance allows. She does this by spinning a roulette wheel, flipping a coin, etc. Then she just does as the results of the game demand.
Notes: The cat's name is Omen. He is a male, and is slightly bored because he is one of only two cats in the realm. His hobbies are cleaning, and trying to find the female white cat who is somewhere around there. He can act as a facilitator of Luck's power.

Name: Grent Horner
Spoiler:

Age: 22-23
Personality: Your traditional wisecracker. He's always looking for the silver lining, usually in someone else's pockets. A thief by trade, he has a home-brewed brawling style. He would rather run from a fight though, using above-average agility to lose his pursuit in crowds or narrow alleys. He has incredible stamina. He's more likely to trick you than 'fight fair'. Possibly more pending.
Appearance: He's just over six feet tall, with tanned skin and a light build. He has good muscle from living on the docks his whole life. His hair is cut short and brown, with a green streak along the front to match his olive green eyes. He usually wears a long coat with the sleeves cut away just above the elbows, and has bandages wrapped over his hands. He has a small shirt underneath the coat, made of some coarse material. Worn trousers and shoes with an oiled animal hide sole fit his lower body, and a small scar decorates his nose, the remains of an old break. He also has a large wooden box (two feet by 1 foot by 1 foot) with a crest burned into the wood attached to a leather strap, slung along his back. It no doubt contains merchandise or tools of some sort.
Weapons: Just those two fists of his. He might improvise something if he has to, but he is a bare-knuckle brawler first and foremost. He also has five throwing knives that he keeps on his right thigh, but he is terrible at using them.
Notes: Grent has displayed the ability to manipulate small rocks, which he can't aim. He is in fact a half-breed, yet we are uncertain of the mixture.

Name: Hector IV of the Tursdin Family.
Spoiler:

Age: 38
Personality: For the most part unknown, although the way he seems to look at Rajah is a little unsettling. The Weaver has remarked that the man doesn't seem quite right. Other than that, we have yet to see.
Appearance: Again, largely unknown. He wears an iron mask so that you can not pick out his face, but from his build he seems rather on the plump side. He is also around five foot nine, five foot ten, and the mask is featureless, bearing only a basic set of facial features.
Weapons: He has a saber at his belt, and a rifle of all things along his back.
Notes: He seems to have a bit of a reputation, from what can be read in Dimper's narration. Beyond that, this character requires a bit more in-text development before I can let you all use him. I would like to point out that he is the son of a wealthy merchant family however.

Name: Dimper Youle
Spoiler:

Age: 16
Personality: A nervous young man who seems like he is cursed to be eternally awkward. He is constantly worrying about proper protocol, and seems intent on succeeding as a squire, and becoming a knight. He is rather shy, and easily intimidated. Still, he keeps trying his hardest, like a man clutching at strands in vague hope. Now a bit of history: Dimper is the sixth of seven children. His five older brothers have all gone to become knights in the Order. He was of course expected to follow them, and has done so, even though he would have preferred a desk job as a magistrate. He has one younger sibling - his sister, who is three years old and quite darling.
Appearance: Dimper has sandy blond hair and bright blue eyes, a spattering of freckles coloring his face. He is awkward even in his appearance, with long storky limbs that seemed to have grown too quickly for his body. He just tops six feet in his height, and will probably grow even taller. He has the physique of a rail, as he has not yet gotten into the real training provided by the Palanic Order of Knights. While on duty, he wears recycled armor from other squires, of a design similar to his lord Hector.
Weapons: Dimper has just begun training in the use of the foil and the shortbow. The only person he has ever hurt was himself, when after improperly tying off the bowstring the bow itself recoiled and smacked him on the shoulder.
Notes: Pending.

Third, a description of the tasks:

"In actuality, I have two tasks for you, although your participance in one relies on whether or not you survive the other.
"The first task I reguire of you is one of cunning and subterfuge. You see, in the realm of Tal' Gnior, the main religious sect of Palanos has gained immense power, forcing darkness from the face of the plane. Naturally, a majority of the populace have benefitted from this change. However, there exists within the clergy one who would alter the teachings of the church, and this simply cannot be allowed if the realm is to have peace. The name of this wayward individual is Teflinn, and it will be your responsibility to see that his life is taken in an inconspicuous manner.
"Do not think this an easy task though; the man is powerful, and lives within the Golden Citadel, the capitol of his religious sect." The All-Seer's head turned, and several of the Fallen felt it's gaze rest upon them.
"Furthermore, the followers of Palanos are a rather superstitious group, the appearance of several of you would be... alarming to them." The All-Seer stopped there, standing up and pacing behind its screen. "But we shall worry of such things later. For now I bid you to rest, and recover your strength. As you are, none of you would survive the trip." The All-Seer waved a hand in dismissal. "Skirmisher, if you would take them to their lodgings...?"

Miscellaneous Notes on Tal'Gnior

The Two Moons

Spoiler:

No extra suns. I like to keep a bit of science going, even in heavily magical realms. An extra sun would provide too much heat, and make the place uninhabitable. There are two moons though. The two moons provide roughly the same gravitational pull as our own moon does, so it's still 'scientific'.

The two moons themselves are called "The Lovers". Explanation time.

The moons have different colors. The 'male' moon is named Istham, after the son of the Dark God Machal. It is a bright cherry red, due to it's composition.

The 'female' moon is named Crancias, after the daughter of the Light God Palanos. It is alabaster white.

The two moons are imbued with a magical radiation, each moon strengthening its respective element when it is the prominent celestial body in the night sky. However, when the two share the spot of prominence, their two radiations interact with each other, and something... magical... occurs. What is it? I'm not going to tell you. Besides, this event doesn't occur until the height of the summer months. Which, coincidentally, should be about when you all reach the Golden City. Odd how that seems to have worked out. Almost like it was planned. Now who could have done that...?

The Time Zones, and Where the Sun Rises

Here was the explanation given for the differnt time zones:

Also, I won't be allowing any large time-skips for the Reaper's crowd. This is because in a temporal sense, Rajah's crowd is behind the Reaper's. Allow me to exposit.

*takes out chalkboard, then puts on glasses and a nifty graduation hat*

You see, in the world of Tal'Gnior, the sun rises in the west. This would mean that the relation between time zones is the opposite of our world. By this logic, Barkdown would see twilight before Meridica, given their positions on my handy map that none of you are allowed to see because none of you have bought a map. HINT!!

*proceeds to draw two little x's on a poorly drawn globe, with a smiley sun going from left to right*

Now, as you can see, the exact opposite has happened; Meridica is in nightfall,

*draws a smiling moon on the right side of the board*

while Barkdown still has sunlight. This is technically wrong.

*draws a large X over the entire board, and changes the sun and the moon to sad faces*

Therefore, I am going to 'slow down' time here in Meridica, by forcing more events to happen in a smaller amount of time,

*circles the right-hand marker for Meridica's position*

so that Barkdown can catch up. Then everyone will be happy.

*flips over the chalkboard, to show a large "THE END" written in bubble letters on the other side*

Towns of Tal'Gnior

Here is some info on the towns we have seen in Tal'Gnior:

Barkdown was originally a lumber town (Maybe you could tell from the name?), and they would send their lumber down the river (running north to south) around which the town was built. Eventually minerals were found, and the town began to support mines. Now it is one of the three great centers of metalworking on the continent, and you can find many incredible craftsmen there, as well as warriors willing to try their new weapons. The town itself is surrounded by a high stone wall, and has a platoon of guards stationed within. It would seem that the knight Hector and his squire Dimper are also stationed there, and there is a church of Palanos in the town's center.



Meridic:

Spoiler:

Meridic is a mid-sized coastal city sort walk northwest from the cabin Atiya, Reaper and Syl landed in, in a small bay on the south tip of the continent. It was where the unfortunate couple (you know, the ones Reaper brainwashed?) came from, and if you north wander along the coastline you'll eventually find it. It's mostly a trading town, with a small fishing economy. The trade by way of sea has been beset by more of the crustaceous "Criggen", and so there is currenly no water-borne travel to speak of to the much larger port town near the Golden Citadel. There is a trade route by land, but going on foot could take months to reach your final destination. The town also contains a mercenary center, and a deeper, unsavory element as well. It is here that our happy little group met the pickpocket Grent, who has been strongarmed into helping them. At least, that's how Grent sees it.

Beasts of Tal'Gnior

Criggen - Scout

Here's an excerpt from the IC text.

"It looked like a humanoid lobster, but it stood roughly as large as the cabin Syl had just fallen into. The lower half of its body hugged the ground like a typical crustacean, eight legs supporting its weight. At what would be deemed roughly the thorax, the creature's mass shifted so that it was upright. more human in appearance. It still retained the chitinous armor of its kind, a hard shell of incredible hardness. Both 'arms' ended in hard claws - the left claw was longer, and possesed of sharper 'teeth,' no doubt used for cutting. The right was large and hefty as any warhammer or mace. It had been this claw which had sent Syl flying. The body itself was covered in bristles and spurs, small yet hard. As for the head of the creature, it was very crab-like. No neck defined exactly where the head began, and armor protected everything but a cluster of eyes. The creatures maw was like some piece of industrial equipment, a mess of gnashing teeth and jaws which looked easily able to crush bone."

Wait. This was just a scout? Uh oh...

Here is my charater
and I'll probly change a few things about her later on but I'll let everyone know when i edit her profile k?

Bio: unknown are her real parents thus far. She was rasied by a abusive bible thumping adopted-dad as we speak she is ecaping his house for good....

Name: Atiya (true last name unknown)

Race: daughter of a couple of fallen angels.

Age: 16

Apperance: long deep red wavy hair, and purple-ish gold eyes that are often mistaken for contacts, and when upset, anger'd or worried her eyes are some shade of green. 5'9 and slim build but very strong.

Personality : she is of course hardend by the years of abuse but is a very caring person. especially when it comes to kids......and once you get to know her she losens up a bit... to where you know she is caring and understanding.......

Side of the balance: neutral

weapon: no wepon as of yet..

bio: Romeing the void of space and time he as reacked havec on the world with his unique skill of control. Pup has houned his power beyond all others like him.

Personality: He is somewhat of a jokester when he is in controle of anothers body, pasonate about what it is that he dose, love a good time with a crazy woman.

Okumi, I'm sorry if it seems like I'm picking on you here, but War is just that; the physical embodiment of the spirit and concept of war. The same goes for the other three and their respective elements. If anything, trying to control them would probably backfire and harm Pup's mind. It's like trying to control the mind or the Wind or the Water. Also, it's rather uninteresting to simply overpower everyone you meet, as it takes away the opportunities of character growth.

Could you please edit your post so that you launch the strings, but you don't write anything beyond that on controlling War's mind?

Gah, and Okumi (Im really sorry about saying it like this) but you gramma and spelling is getting worse, seriosuly I know I do not have perfect spelling and sentence structure but I am starting to struggle reading your posts..If you could improve it, (just run the whole thing through spell check and such) then it would help improve the quailty of this Rp alot.

Personality: Short tempered and decievingly able in a fight. She's unafraid to die, and does not handle failure well. Does not forgive easily, and does not forget.

History prior to this point: Bitten and turned at the age of 19 she became the kinling to Vampire Surturr Angron, who was later murdered by his own vampiric court for his blasphemies. In the wake of her master's death, Kaumni set out on the largest purge within a court since the salem witch trials. Failing to kill the one responsible she now lives in relative hiding, never staying too long in one place. Equipped with the skill in combat passed downward to her by her former master she has spent the last 354 years sharpening her skills as a hand to hand combatant. Pained and alone she wanders trying to find her own way.

Appearance: Long silver hair tied up into a ponytail with a crimson red bow, slender frame looks about 20- 25 in age tends to have a smoke (is what he calls em) lit at all times. Stands about 6 foot. Wearing a long black leather jacket and a white frilly shirt underneath (long sleeves), a pair of belts cross one another to keep his smart trousers up, for foot wear he has black boots (smart ones xD) also sporting a cane and tophat!

Personality: Frivolous, flirty, carefree, can be an ass but also can be nice, humerus, annoying!

good/evil: neutral (as long as he is amused he don't care Very Happy )

Atiya pretty much has tried to accept the impossible and improbible in her mind because she has had to adapt to so much so fast and the realization of "what the f." hasn't really caught up with her yet. So she is trying to cope untill she can get everything sorted out in her head.

Bio: Rajah is not much for history; she's pretty narrow-sighted and only looks to what benefits her now or in the near future.

Well the effects the "Kneel" had seem to be at odds between my post and that of Tigre's so for sake of argument i think it would be best assumed that the less resistance you put towards the action, the less scathed you'd be.
