Carrie hid behind a tree, waiting for the panther to emerge from the tree. Basing from its eyes, and motions, it was possessed. She would have to use her sword to kill it and release the spirit. he was watching for her as well. when it started to find her, it began to pounce. coming out from behind the tree, she readied her sword, and slashed at its head, cutting off a corner of it, blood and brains going in different directions. She cut the head off and stabbed its heart, killing the panther and releasing the spirit. "Whats a panther doing in these areas....."

emerging from the forest, she came upon a town. Not a very big one, but still one at that. making her way there, she prepared to figure out what kind of people were in it, and what to make of them. she also wondered if he would be coming this way. she felt him awaken, and felt the demons get agitated. there was something going to happen, and she didnt know what.

"I'm glad your okay" said Mizu. With closer expection he could see that the man in the cloak was also a Nyrrvas. "Oh great just what I need" he thought. Mizu didn't like being around felling Nyrrvas. Sometimes he would bump into someone who knew about the village. It made him feel uncomftorable. But he was curios about the red portal. "So ummmm,,,whats with the red portal" shrugged Mizu.

Occupation: Thief/muscian
Appearance: He stands at about six foot two and is very thin, but fairly well-built. He always wears a black, hooded cloak to hide his face-a face he finds repulsive (though it's not really). Otherwise, he wears black mid-calf high boots, brown cotton pants, and a white, long sleeved, button-up shirt. He carries random items and a small harp in his cloak. His eyes are dark green with a thin line of red around the pupil and his hair is long black in the front and short blonde in the back. He is very pale, as he doesn't much like to be outside and his arms are etched with scars. He has a couple of tattoos; a phoenix on his back, a heart on his right wrist, and just some tribal designs on his right calf. His lip is pierced, bottom right.
Weapon/s: Two katanas at either hip
Bio: He's normally very quiet, but can become very loud and rude when drunk. He's a sort of happy-go-lucky type and finds many things interesting. He's a gentleman, most of the time, and pretty nice. He's easily entertained and loves music with a passion. He had a pretty normal childhood, though he never met his real parents who died in battle close to right after he was born. He lived with his godparents and started stealing because he couldn't keep a job and needed to support the family. When he was 16 he left home after receiveing a cryptic message in his dream.

He stared down into the empty mug. For almost an hour, he'd been wandering around the forest after being kicked out of a tavern some distance away now. For now, he sat on a tree stump just staring and thinking of the night before he left home. It was strange for him to be thinking of this, as that had happened a long time ago, and he didn't know what made think of it. He rose his eyes wearily when he hears the sickening and very familiar noise of blade cutting flesh. A woman had slayed a panther a distance from him. Setting the mug down, he stands and on a sort of spur, goes after her.

"Hello! I couldn't help but notice you kill a panther in the middle of the woods. What's up with that?" He calls this to her when he came within reasonable hearing distance.

Iraka stared into the crackling fire intently.

Having left Torr-Eliath behind him, he had headed for the the more temperate climes of the forests to the south. In truth, he wasn't sure at the time where he was going. Even now, he pondered over that question.

What was the meaning of his life? To aid against the rise of the Devil. Perhaps so. But how?

He thought harder. It was out of filth and corruption that Deyja and his demons could rise. Without either of them, they couldn't hope to have much influence here. So what they needed to do was corrupt the hearts of men, turn them away from the right path, lead them to utter damnation. Well, truth be told, there's several hundred ways of going about that.

Something big. Yes, something significant. It wasn't enough that demons of lust tempted men to rape - for that matter, men were equally capable of raping without any demons' help. It had to be something that would completely blacken the hearts of men, never to see the light of truth again. Then, Iraka knew...

Devil-worship.

The fire twisted and danced all of a sudden, though there was no wind. And before Iraka appeared a small imp-like creature. It was bald, with hideous, crooked fangs, bat-like wings and a pointed tail. Scampering near the fire, it danced playfully close to it.

"Why does Deyja even bother sending his little demons to die by my blade?" said Iraka, almost to himself. "If it is meant to be an insult of some sort, I am frankly not amused."

The imp just laughed maniacally, dancing like a wild thing in the fire. With deft claw-like fingers, it seemed to shape the fire into the form of someone he knew. Someone he once loved, smiling up at him with fiery lips.

"Be gone."

The form collapsed, and the fire trapped the cheeky imp within its cage. It shrieked and trashed, trying to free itself, but the fires had turned white and began scorching the demon, burning away the evil essence.

The fire was out, nothing left but ash and a foul acrid smell. Iraka tried to push the memories to the back of his mind once again, then raised himself to his feet. It was time he headed for the nearest city. He needed to catch up on the latest news.

And so, he resumed his journey through the forest path.

Inara gently circled the water clock-wise and very slowly she lifted her hand but continued to move it in the same direction. The water continued to move before slightly rising to follow her hand. Inara smiled softly and then glanced out of the corner of her eye at the pond. She was ready.

With that confidence in mind, she took a deep breath to steady her nerves. Then she slapped her hand down flat onto the water. A large 'roll' took upon the water and thugh some ended at the shore, it continued whereever water was. The roll moved over the entire pond, continuing into the stream and wuld then continue in the river. Anyone even remotely close to water would see t, for it grew in size the farther it went. As soon as it hit land it would disappear like mist but eventually it would reach the size of a tidal wave.

Inara smiled widely now. Her mentor had taught her that but always before she could only get the wave to move a few feet. She stood. Ignoring the dirt on her pant knees, she slipped her lace gloves back on and moved her cloak back over her head before moving back into the wood like a ghost.

Her eyes watched watched the water and glanced at the man behind her. She only nodded at him, noticing he was there and turned back to watched the river. Her hand raised and she set it beside her, which she did with the same one. Slowly in one movement, she got up and turned around to look at him.

Before she made any attempt to answer him, she heard some others all around, then looked at him. Muttering...
"So there were others..." She said, smiling to herself. She looked at him. "Would I fall in?" She repeated, curiously sounding more amused by the question then offended.

"Maybe...I wouldn't know." She turned her head to the water and smiled. "What makes you want to ask so?" Her eyes looked at the water, but she faced him.

Gnash smirked, almost wickedly. He didn't look capable of killing, but the severed limb he held and the swords on his back proved otherwise. "Would you scream?" He asked, eyes watching her intently. He had no plans on killing her. He was just in a very morbid mood.

The eyes of her's turned away from the sight of the water to look at Gnash more directly. She smiled a little, but at the same time a little disturbed by his questioning. Her hair swayed a little in the wind and she backed away a little. she saw the limb inhis hands, and she felt disgusted. She couldn't stand seeing such things.

"No...no I wouldn't scream unless I was in pain..." She said.

Gnash smirked as she spotted the hand he held. "Want it?" He asked. "I don't have any use for it. It's just a nice little prize I got back in the inn there." He said motioning to the lights in the distance. "Do you want to see if the waters cold? Maybe you'll scream if it's cold."

Gitta jumped down from the tree with a very quiet thud. She leaned aginst the tree and sighed loud enough for them to know she was there. "Its a shame that the man at the inn has no limb... Perhaps you should throw the thing back to him, since you claim not to need it."

She looked at him and then at the limb. "No..thanks..." She looked away. "You should stop asking questions, its annoying me. I would not touch water, so there I wouldn't scream."She only smirked at him, then glanced at newcomer.

Gitta glared at the two of them. She pulled out a dagger and cleaned from underneath her nails with it. Still looking at them she sighed. "What if she can't swim?" She whitsled and Vega trotted to stand next to her. She put the dagger away in Vegas saddle bag and as if all were normal, Vega laid down to rest some more.

Gitta frowned and stood up. "You are a despicable beast aren't you. Well it's none of my concern."
Vega had long since stood and was geting antsy. She patted his neck and swung up into the saddle. "Come on Vega. Lets go and get warm tonight, then tomorrow we'll try and find 'Him' and see if we can help..." She slowly started to ride away.

She looked at the man and turned away. "You are a pointless killer..." She smiled. "Isn't that right you are hired to kill people. Yet it seems ou still take pleasure intimidating people. It doesn't work on me sir, but if you don't might, I have to care for my plants." She smirked at the girl and walked away from Gnash. "Bye now..." She walked away from him and entered back into the forest hearing a noise and a ferret wandered out, she smiled and it climbed onto her shoulder, then she glanced back at them, walking away. "How annoying they are..."

Gnash, unable to hold it in any longer burst out laughing. He doubled over, eyes watering. The girl talking down to him was just too much. Before he could stop himself, he was on the ground laughing. He stopped, holding a hand out to her.

Sensing a sort of dislike in the boy of him, Faith decided not to do anything too rash.

"I have no idea what that red portal was doing there. It just warped me here. And I don't even know why. I was rather-busy when it appeared. And where am I?"

Faith looked around the area. He did not recognize any of it, it was as if it were another world. So- peaceful. Or maybe it was just a never-visted area of his countryside? He would have to find out. And maybe this boy could help him. But he needed to know if he could trust him.

"Whats your name? And- why are you wandering here alone?"

"My name is Mizu and I'm not really shure were we are. I havn't seen a village in 5 days. As for what I'm doing here, do I need a reason." shrugged Mizu. It was hard to beleave that the man didn't know anything about the red portal, but he guessed he just had to trust him. "I havn't see a village in a long time, so there has to be one close by."

She looked back and glared at him, turning around to face him. She walked back to him and knelt down to look him in the face. "You are truly an insane one aren't you?" She said and looked away, standing up.

Inara continued to walk in silence. She was making her way to her home deep in the woods. Many would call her a hermit, but one look at her and they would call her a queen. She couldn't tell if it was because of her beauty or the icy demeanor she took when around others.

Her home was a small cottage in the wood. The porch held only a small chair that she enjoyed sitting in to watch the forest and listen to it speak to her. You could see a shed out back where she kept her meat for storage. She walked inside and took off her cloak and hung it on the hook by the door. Her gloves were thrown off next. She poured a bowl of water and then began to go around her house, watering her many plants.

Gitta and Vega stopped. She turned in the saddled and gave him a look that said, 'Your crazy...', shaking her head she turned and walked Vega out into a huge wheat field. Across, towards the center she saw two young men talking. She ignored them and ventured on to the town on the other side of the forrest.

Mizu looked around and saw a women on a horse. "See, I told you. Theres probably a village right around the corner" said Mizu pointing towards the direction the lady came from. He then started walking away. "You coming? Mybe we can find out about that portal."
